NERITES at the advanced technologies for remote monitoring of heritage monuments and artefacts cluster

On November 18, 2024, the NERTES project actively participated in the significant online cluster titled “Advanced technologies for remote monitoring of heritage monuments and artefacts.” This event was organized by the REA European Research Executive Agency, established by the European Commission, and included EU projects under the same Horizon Europe HORIZON-CL2-2023-HERITAGE-01 call, such as ARGUS, ChemiNova, and iPhotoCult.

The virtual meeting began with an overview of the Commission’s policy priorities, setting a clear direction for the discussions that followed. Detailed presentations by each project coordinator outlined their projects’ core ideas, proposed technological solutions, and specific challenges, all within a ten-minute presentation window, followed by a brief question-and-answer session. The meeting culminated in an open discussion focused on future goals and collaborative actions, all aimed at fostering a sustainable ecosystem for cultural heritage research.

NERITES participation in this endeavor underscored its commitment to pioneering digital monitoring and preservation of monuments, establishing Nerites as a key player in the heritage sector.
