The 4th NERITES Project Meeting in Taranto, Italy

The 4th Consortium Meeting of the NERITES Project was successfully held on 7–8 October 2025 at the premises of the Ministero della Cultura (MiC) in Taranto, Italy.

This meeting brought together all project partners to present the progress achieved so far and to discuss the next steps in the project’s implementation. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both on-site and remote participation, which fostered dynamic exchanges and effective coordination for the upcoming phases.

Throughout the sessions, partners presented the key developments and results accomplished to date, paving the way for constructive discussions and joint problem-solving. As the project moves into its pilot testing phase, the consortium focused on addressing emerging challenges, ensuring alignment across pilot locations, and preparing for the successful execution of planned activities.

On the first day, participants had the opportunity to visit the MARTA Archaeological Museum, where they explored outstanding historical exhibits and experienced the rich cultural and archaeological heritage of Taranto.

On the second day, partners continued with presentations on the progress of their respective Work Packages (WPs). Discussions concentrated on fine-tuning the pilot activities, defining next steps, and setting the framework for effective implementation. The meeting concluded with the agreement to hold the 5th NERITES Project Meeting in Genova in February 2026.

The Taranto meeting marked another important step toward the project’s overall objectives. Through active collaboration, insightful discussions, and a shared commitment to innovation, the NERITES consortium underscored its dedication to the project’s main scope and is ready to move forward with a renewed and clear roadmap for the next phase.
