NERITES was proudly featured at the European Maritime Day (EMD) 2026, which took place in in Limassol, Cyprus, from Thursday, 21 May to Friday, 22 May 2026.
European Maritime Day (EMD) is an annual two-day event during which the European maritime community comes together to network, discuss, and outline collective action for maritime affairs, the marine environment, and the sustainable blue economy. Throughout the event, speeches, sessions, and workshops organized by stakeholders and the European Commission are held, targeting professionals from businesses, governments, public agencies, NGOs, and academia, as well as EU citizens interested in the sea.
The NERITES project was represented by Atlantis Consulting at Stand No. 19. The event hosted over 1,000 professionals, policymakers, and academics, offering a unique platform for NERITES to connect with experts in marine policy, innovation, conservation, and community engagement.
EMD 2026 offered a diverse program of plenary sessions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking activities, creating the perfect setting for projects like NERITES to gain visibility and spark meaningful collaborations. The event highlighted how maritime heritage can play a vital role in shaping Europe’s environmental, cultural, and economic future.
